HOEM on Jarvis is a private student residence located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Located at 186 Jarvis street, a five-minute walk from the heart of the Toronto Metropolitan University Campus, the IBI-designed tower offers space over 30 floors for 593 first and upper-year students.
The façades of the residence are clad in a dark grey-framed window wall system with a mix of glass and multi-toned blue spandrel panels. These façades also feature operable knee-height windows with full-size lights above. Slate-gray brick covers the southern part of the east façade of the tower.
The residence adds 172 fully furnished one-, two- and four-bedroom units to Toronto’s student housing stock, each offering a shared kitchen and living room. Additional amenities located throughout the tower include study rooms, studio space, gym facilities, a yoga studio, and all the benefits of Canadian Student Communities student life programming, such community programming and events, safety, security, and mental health supports.
In the heart of Toronto, the residence is well situated with access to transit and nearby shopping facilities, sidewalks, and bicycle facilities. HOEM is home to students from many of Toronto’s educational institutions such as TMU, U of T, OCAD and George Brown.
